Evaluation of the growth and nodulation of soybean plants (Glycine max) inoculated with Rhizobium and Bradyrhizobium japonicum in Manglaralto, Santa Elena, Ecuador

Rhizobian bio-inputs have been considered for some years as the best alternative to reduce the application of synthetic fertilizers and with repercussions on the rural peasant economy. The objective of this work was to assess the effects of infection and effectiveness in three types of soybean seeds (Glycine max), inoculated with three rhizobia biofertilizers, under the conditions of a productive zone in the province of Santa Elena (Ecuador). The soybean genetic materials INIAP 307, INIAP 308 and INTEROC SSK were inoculated with the biofertilizers Endure-Rhizobium (USA), Bradyrhizobium Católica and a bioferment obtained from the collection of Rhizobium strains of the CIAP-UPSE Research Center. The results show the mutualism that the legumes establish with their rhizobian hosts, obtaining significant results in most of the variables investigated in all the inoculated variables, including the nodulation of Bradyrhizobium with G. max., Confirming the specificity that the plant-symbiosis presents. legume. Surely, soybean inoculation would contribute to development plans for future large-scale production in an area of agricultural interest.
