Determinants of leadership from Santa Elena

Abstract

Leadership is a fundamental component in development, particularly social organization, this has given an important boost to the progress of humanity, reason enough to be a reason for study and line of various universities in the world, in this context, the research group formed by the Santa Elena University (UPSE). The objective is to identify the characteristics; feature and style presented by leadership in the province of Santa Elena as a determining factor to acquire identity, from the cultural perspective. The methodological design of the research is developed from the mixed approach: qualitative – quantitative, based on the descriptive method, as data collection technique the survey and bibliographic analysis. For the collection of the data, the sample of the registered population in the national electoral- provincial council was selected, which support the study. The result obtained served as input to operatively establish theoretical – practical, contextualized frameworks of the particularities; which are a hallmark that presents leadership in the province.
