Sustainable Management: Tourism diversification to improve the offer in the Seven Waterfalls, Naranjal canton

Abstract

Sustainable management regulates the ethical and environmental values that serve for the development and potential of the communities. The problem addressed in this work was to achieve sustainable management by evaluating the failures of the undertaking in order to diversify the tourist offer of the destination of the Seven Waterfalls in the Naranjal canton. The main objective is to identify the elements that affect their current performance to improve the service provided. The methodology used was of a mixed type (qualitative and quantitative), the techniques of both approaches are used to measure the relationship between the independent variables with the dependent variable, and the expert judgment method measured by the Coefficient of Coincidence Validity is used. For the validation of the designed instrument (test-type survey) and the reliability, the Cronbach's alpha statistic was used, the evaluation of the correlations was calculated using the SPSS program and Microsoft Word Excel. The main conclusion of the same lies in the identification of the deficiencies of each of the dimensions of the main variable and the strength that it has to achieve the diversification of the designated tourist destination, being the dimension of Services the most negative and within this the indicators for the rental of implements and equipment for each tourist offer: waste management, poor harmonization of lighting and signage with the environment and the security system.
