Abstract

The investment in human talent offers competitive advantages worldwide to companies and countries in the economy of knowledge. This economic wave forces governments to take measurements of investment that will have positive returns for the country. The present work seeks to demonstrate the importance of the above mentioned investment by a descriptive analysis of different concepts approached in the administrative literature. Furthermore, there is abrief study of the cases of Ecuador and South Korea. The results verify that the investment in the human talent empowers countries worldwide and that the creation, distribution and utilization of new knowledge have as goal to satisfy the needs of the society
