This research seeks to know how fishermen manage their finances and how it influences the competitiveness of their activities in the Santa Rosa fishing port of the canton Salinas in the period 2015 - 2016. To obtain a detailed description of the causes and effects of the problem found, Such as: organizational structure, logistics of its operations, financial management in fishing operations, costs and sales level relating to competitiveness. It is a descriptive, correlational and qualitative research; In addition, we used theoretical methods such as inductive, deductive, analytical and as empirical methods were applied the survey and the interview, these elements served as instruments of data collection through a questionnaire where the information was analyzed by testing the hypothesis with safety That the financial management of artisanal fishers affects their competitiveness.
