Aerated concrete: analysis and diffusion at industrial levelin Ecuador

Cellular concrete has been used by many nordic countries, but in Ecuador its use is low, this has been a problem for its development in the construction area. The objective is to give an overview of the development of this concrete in the country to expand its use widely by reviewing relevant research and reporting the existence of companies dedicated to the production of cellular concrete. For preparing this paper has been reviewed seven cases of research on cellular concrete in recent years carried out by main universities of the country and the experience of the authors. The result was it was that in the country there is no methodology for the production, logistics and sales of foaming agents. As a conclusion, it is observed that cellular concrete has not been spread out widely in the country.
