Abstract

In the initial formation of Technical and Professional Education teachers (TPE), it is vital to develop a technological and humanistic personality that allows them to act and feel according to the demands of current transformations in TPE, and universalization.  At the workplace, characteristics are identified in order to develop the technological and humanistic personality that society needs with the implications of the developments in technology and science.  The  assumed scientific problem is:  How to develop the technological and humanistic personality in the initial formation of teachers in Technical and Professional Education, in the context of universalization?  The methodology used is the integration of theoretical and empirical methods, which made this proposal to be possible. Theoretical and methodological background of the initial formation process is supported, description and analysis of results of the application of consultation to experts as its theoretical verification and its partial application in practice.  The theoretical foundations and systematic relationships established among components, become the main theoretical contribution and innovation of the investigation.
