Rice husk has been used unprocessed as a degreaser in ceramic pastes, but its use in micronized form has not been investigated. This option could facilitate the homogenization and cohesion of its components, reducing the need for other conventional materials. The objective of the study was to evaluate the influence of using micronized rice husk as a degreaser on the properties of ceramic bricks. The research was conducted in two stages: the first stage involved designing sintered briquettes in a muffle furnace to determine the optimal percentage of micronized rice husk; in the second stage, the quality control of the brick formulation was carried out in an industrial kiln with the addition of micronized rice husk. Formulations with 10% and 20% rice husk were evaluated, concluding that with the former, it is feasible to produce ceramic bricks for partitions, meeting the specified properties.
