Abstract

Organizations must digitally transform their resources to attract new users and improve the experience of cu- rrent ones. In this context, the Catholic University of Cuenca identified opportunities for improvement in its institutional platform, as the current system did not fa- vor agile and efficient management of academic digital resources. Therefore, the web platform was redesigned and a digital academic resource manager based on a la- yered architecture was developed. The analysis, design, and development of the prototype were carried out using an agile approach through Scrum-type iterations, orga- nized in consecutive sprints and validated with library and technology staff. Finally, the solution was evalua- ted in a controlled environment through usability tests with guided tasks and standardized satisfaction and ac- ceptance questionnaires. The results showed better or- ganization and management of resources, more intuitive navigation, and greater support for decision-making th- rough usage indicators.
