In 2013, the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion (MIES) created the Children's Centers of Good Living (CIBV), in parallel, nutrition programs are created aimed at strengthening the eating habits of children to reduce the levels of Malnutrition in this population. Therefore, the research aims to examine the eating behavior, conceived as a product of social interactions with their family nucleus, by children who attend the Children's Centers of Good Living (CIBV) in the province of Santa Elena during the 2017. The study is based on the social cognitive theory, which seeks to identify how the roles, rules, behaviors and communication influence the consumption and eating habits of children, for which information was collected through a survey addressed to 106 parents of 10 CIBV centers in the province of Santa Elena. The results of this research show the need to address the promotion of child nutrition from a cultural and social point of view in children.
